The event was held at Energise Sports Centre and saw the Cubs compete in a series of round robin matches to decide the best team in the city.
After an intense, competitive process, the eventual winners of this inaugural trophy were 1st Holgate, who put in a phenomenal performance across the whole competition. We were also lucky to have former York City legend and 3x promotion winning midfielder, Paddy McLaughlin, to come and present the trophy and medals to the winners.
A huge thank you to all the Cubs and volunteers who attended and made the event happen; the referees for supporting the event; Paddy for presenting the trophy; and Taylors of Acomb for sponsoring this year’s event. We hope to return next year!
