to help the Volunteer Development Team.
Please can every volunteer, yes, that really does mean you, take five minutes to log into MyMembership and check your profile is as up to date as it can be.
Why it matters: Scout Headquarters (HQ) and our City of York District Team use your contact details to let you know when training is due, especially your Safety and Safeguarding, which now have to be renewed before they expire, with no leeway. If those reminder emails aren’t reaching you, it’s usually because an email or mobile number is out of date on the membership database. A couple of minutes now will save you a lot of hassle later on.
While you’re logged in, three quick things to check:
- Contact details – make sure your email and mobile number are correct, so every reminder finds you.
- Outstanding actions – all roles need an electronic declaration to be ‘signed’, so check you’ve no actions still waiting on your record.
- My Learning – if you’re new or have changed roles, your training requirements live here. These may include First Response and Growing Roots modules.
Many thanks for your co-operation, it genuinely helps us look after everyone. If you are struggling or have any questions at all, please contact Christine Clark at christine.clark@yorkscouts.org.uk.
