Our local Scout Band has been entertaining people for over 80 years and is keen to welcome new musicians from age 8 upwards who are a member of any Scout Group. Our District Lead Volunteer had a great chat with some of the team at one of their weekly Wednesday practice sessions, listening about what great events they had been to over the years, and the many memories created. Nigel also presented a 40 Year Service Award to Pete Edwards for his sustained dedication to Scouts.
Young people can work towards Musician badges, or a qualification, or just develop their musical skills as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Scheme, join in with public events, or just have fun with the band.
